WHY STUDY YOUTH WORK?
Youth work is a rewarding career for people who want to support, guide, and advocate for young people. At Skill NZ, you’ll develop practical skills, cultural understanding, and professional confidence to work alongside taiohi in a variety of community settings.
Through a combination of classroom learning, practical placement experience, and reflective practice, you’ll learn how to create safe environments, support youth wellbeing, and contribute positively to your community.
Our programme is grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and recognises the importance of Māori and Pacific worldviews in youth development and community engagement.
