CERTIFICATE IN HEALTH & WELLBEING (LEVEL 3)
The purpose of this programme is to provide passionate learners with the foundational knowledge and skills required to practice person-centred support in a residential care facility or a home-based support setting in the health and wellbeing sector.
Learners of this programme may already work in the health and wellbeing sector, but are interested in gaining a formal certificate qualification by expanding their experience. This programme is also targeted towards those who are eager to take the first step in pursuing a career in the health and wellbeing sector.
This programme is composed of theory, placement, and self-directed study, and will provide the community health and wellbeing sector with graduates who are informed, competent and socio-culturally aware.

EDUCATION PATHWAY:
Students may proceed to further study in:

New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Advanced Care and Support) (Level 4) [Ref: 4108], or
-
New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (Social and Community services) (Level 4), in Integrated Practice (Family and Whānau Harm) or in leadership and management.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Domestic Students

Must be 16 years of age or older

Must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident

Must hold a qualification in Healthcare or equivalent; OR have a keen interest in Healthcare and successfully attend an interview

Must have a satisfactory report from New Zealand Police vetting system if in New Zealand; students must complete the form to authorise Skill New Zealand to apply for this report
International Students

Must be 18 years or older

Must have a NZCEL Level 3 General, Workplace or Academic or IELTS General or Academic score of 5 with no band score lower than 5

Must hold a qualification in Healthcare or equivalent; OR have a keen interest in Healthcare and successfully attend an interview
